Windham Public Schools Superintendent Tracy Youngberg joins us for this episode of "Let's Talk About It" to discuss how the state has become more connected with Windham Schools and how the Board of Educations is working with the town and state to better meet Windham students' needs.

I'm pleased to share with you CLiCK Inc. in Windham was awarded a state Department of Agriculture Farm Viability Grant to expand its kitchen capacity. The grant will be used to purchase infrastructure to increase its food processing capabilities, increase kitchen spaces, and offer farmers more opportunities to use CLiCK's processing kitchen.

Today is National Doctors' Day, a day where we recognize the hard work and sacrifices made by physicians – pivotal members in the healthcare community. While I want to take a moment to personally thank all Connecticut doctors for their continued support, I also want to explain how we are taking steps in the legislature to address the growing concern of a depleting physician workforce in our state.

Congratulations to the Windham Boys Basketball team on winning the Division V State Championship! This is the program's first state title since 1941. Coach Martineau and some of the team members joined me for an episode of "Let's Talk About It."

Today, the House passed an emergency-certification that will ease some of the financial burden on Connecticut residents and working families whose wallets and budgets have taken a hit due to rising gas prices and record-breaking inflation levels. We voted to suspend the 25-cent-per-gallon gas tax from April 1st through June 30th, offer free bus rides through June 30th and create an additional sales tax-free week on clothing and shoes under $100 from April 10 to 16.

Windham students and residents in grades 7 through 12 are invited to the Windham Youth Leadership Summit on Saturday, April 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Camp Connri in Ashford.
