It’s time to talk openly about sexual assault and sexual violence so we can prevent it – punish perpetrators – and support victims.

Pleased to announce with my Democratic colleagues that the State Bond Commission will consider approving about $9.7 million in state funding for four city projects next Friday when it holds a special meeting.

Lawmakers advocated for the passage of Senate Bill 13 which would prevent the state from shackling incarcerated women during pregnancy or labor and would require incarcerated women to be provided with sufficient menstrual supplies.

On Tuesday, February 6, from 6-8pm at Lincoln Middle School, Meriden is hosting an opioid forum to discuss this epidemic and its impact on our community. I encourage all our residents to attend and engage in this important conversation.
