Another busy and productive week at the Capitol, which included my attendance at the Blue Collar Caucus press conference, where it outlined its priorities.

Our nation lost a giant recently with the passing of Rev. Jesse Jackson. Rev. Jackson’s life was a testament to courage, conviction, and an unshakable belief in a more just and inclusive America.

I stand with my colleagues in joining the School Meals for All Coalition and End Hunger CT at the Capitol for School Meal Advocacy Day.

State leaders recently approved $5 million in Community Investment Fund support for two important projects in Norwalk that will strengthen housing stability and access to mental health care for families.

Few things bring me greater joy than reading to kids. Today, as part of Read Across America, I read to second-grade and pre-K children at South Norwalk School Extension, along with Principal Randall Austin and Assistant Principal Francheska Rodriguez.

Committee work has begun for the session at the State Capitol. I proudly serve on the Appropriations, Judiciary and Transportation committees. 

The 2026 legislative session kicked off on Wednesday. I am honored, privileged and humbled to continue to represent the 140th District.

The House will be back in session next Wednesday, Feb. 4. My colleagues and I are gearing up for a busy short session, working hard to pass critical legislation through May 6.
