Help With Broadband Access
May 6, 2021The Office of State Broadband, within the Connecticut Office of Consumer Counsel announced it is working to help build consumer awareness about the Emergency Broadband Benefit, a new Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program. The temporary benefit will help to lower the cost of broadband service for eligible households during the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.
An Act Concerning Telehealth
May 4, 2021During Tuesday's session, the Connecticut House of Representatives unanimously voted in favor of H.B. 5596, An Act Concerning Telehealth. If passed by the Senate and signed by the Governor, this bill would extend telehealth benefits for Connecticut residents for the next two years.

April 22, 2021The Small Business Administration (SBA) has released details on the application and eligibility requirements for the $28.6 billion Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF). The funding – included in the American Rescue Plan and run by the SBA – will assist the hardest-hit restaurants with the funds they need to meet payroll, purchase COVID-related supplies, and recover industry jobs lost during the pandemic.
