The Connecticut Youth Employment Program is an initiative designed to help young people ages 14 to 24 explore careers by providing opportunities to work alongside professionals who assist them in building career networks and receive on-the-job training while also covering participant salaries and other job-related expenses, such as uniforms and transportation to and from work.

Connecticut's annual Sales Tax-Free Week begins on Sunday, August 18 and runs through Saturday, August 24. It provides a chance to save money, whether it is taking the kids back-to-school shopping or treating yourself or your loved ones.

Save the Date for Meriden/Wallingford NAACP 2nd Annual Juneteenth Celebration!

I was honored to join local officials, friends and family at a special event, recognizing and remembering all of our veterans – past and present at the Curtis Home in Meriden, including a 102 year old World War II Veteran.

A healthy summer is straight ahead for Meriden's kids, ages 18 and under!  Monday through Friday, starting June 17- August 16 (closed on 6/19 and 7/4).
