April 25, 2024Today, we observed Food Insecurity Day at the Capitol. Food insecurity is defined as the condition of not having access to sufficient food or adequate quantity to meet basic needs. Food insecurity isn't a partisan issue. It impacts all people and all populations differently, from health outcomes to productivity at work or school. I welcomed Person to Person (P2P) CEO Nancy Coughlin to the Capitol to discuss the work of Person to Person in Lower Fairfield County.

A recent phenomenon that coincided with the COVID-19 pandemic, the brazen public safety threat known as "street takeovers" have become a growing national issue, including a number of dangerous incidents in Connecticut towns.

VIDEO: 2024 Kickball Classic
April 18, 2024The "Majority Rules" team came SO CLOSE to winning the 3rd Annual Kickball Classic, but our counterparts once again took home the trophy with a 4-3 win.
WE lost by ONE RUN in the bottom of the 7th inning, 4-3. While the Dems didn't win, we raised funds for two worthy causes - The Pink Fund & The Earl E. Exum Memorial Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
CGA Kickball Classic 2024 on April 15!
April 2, 2024In a bipartisan manner, members of the CGA will once again head to Dunkin' Park in Hartford for our 3rd Annual CGA Kickball Classic!
Proceeds will benefit the Earl E. Exum Memorial Fund, in memory and honor of Representative Tammy Exum's husband, Earl, who passed away unexpectedly in the fall, as well as The Pink Fund, which offers financial assistance in the fight against breast cancer.
