$40 Million for Special Education in the State

Students and families are dealing with the repercussions of a broken system, and while the legislature considers long-term solutions for our special education system, we recognized our school districts needed immediate relief. That's why I proudly voted in favor of a bill to allocate $40 million for special education.
Severe Winter Weather Protocol in Effect Until February 22
February 14, 2025Governor Lamont announced that due to a weather forecast indicating that Connecticut will experience a blast of arctic temperatures and breezy winds over the next several days, he is directing the state’s severe cold weather protocol to go into effect beginning at 6 p.m. on February 16 and remaining in effect through noon on February 22.
