From my family to yours, I want to take a moment to send my best wishes for the holiday season, and express that it is my sincere honor to represent you and work on issues that matter to our community and Connecticut.

I spent a fantastic afternoon visiting local small businesses in the District, the best places to buy those last minute gifts for everyone on your holiday list! Wonderful, welcoming owners and managers dedicated to community, customer service you can only get from shops like these, curation of unique gifts you can't find elsewhere, and no wait times for shipping in time for the big day!

My work to advocate for and improve early childhood literacy continues! Early in October we celebrated the $1 million I successfully advocated for in the state budget ($500,000 in each fiscal year over the next two years) at Norwalk Hospital during National Book Month. With this funding every baby born at a hospital in the state will be given free books and their parents and caregivers access to the tools and resources they need to be empowered and successful in their roles as their child’s first teachers.

Did you know that getting the flu shot can reduce your chances of severe illness and can potentially help you prevent a cardiac incident related to the flu? I got mine at a pharmacy in the District and it was quick, easy, painless, and I got to meet some great people during the short wait time. Please get yours today to protect yourself and your loved ones.

On Tuesday, December 12, the LGBTQ+ Caucus will hold two virtual office hours - the first from 10 AM - 1 PM and another from 4 PM -7 PM. State Representatives Currey, Allie-Brennan, Brown and I will be available to talk with you virtually. Click here to schedule a time to meet with us.

The City of Norwalk will hold an Informational Session on Norwalk’s 2023 Revaluation Project Wednesday, November 15, at 7:00 PM at City Hall. This is a great opportunity to learn what phase of the Revaluation process the City is in, what phase is next and have any of your questions answered.
