Today we voted to continue building upon past legislative successes that have kept Connecticut moving forward by securing the fiscal guardrails that have allowed the state to cut taxes, invest in families and the economy, pay down debt, and save for the future.

I had the privilege to take a tour of the top notch Bigelow Tea facility in Fairfield. It was great to learn more about the reuse and recycling efforts – along with their tea!

I wanted to be sure you were aware of infrastructure improvements that will result in a scheduled water outage around 8AM on Friday, February 3 along Riverdale Drive in Stratford. The outage is expected to last 4-6 hours.

Governor Ned Lamont today held a news conference in Hartford to announce a series of waste management proposals he will introduce during the 2023 legislative session that address the future of materials and waste management in Connecticut, particularly in light of the decision by the Materials Innovation and Recycling Authority (MIRA) to close its waste-to-energy facility in July of 2022 and reduce in-state waste processing capacity.
