Aflac announced that they plan on opening new offices in Windsor, bringing about 150 to the area. Aflac made this decision after they were selected to serve as the claims administrator for the  Connecticut Paid Leave Authority. 

This week, Windsor is hosting a national softball tournament. The 2021 PlayFPN Summer Nationals for 10U, 12U, 12UB, 14U, and 14UB divisions started on Tuesday and will conclude this Saturday, July 31.

The safety of our children is my top priority as your representative in Hartford. This session we passed Public Act 21-20 to strengthen the traffic safety measures of ice cream trucks in order to increase visibility to other drivers.

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), roughly 50,000 young children per year are hospitalized due to accidental ingestion of prescription and adult-use only medications. A statistic that is entirely preventable.

The long hurricane season began June 1 and is expected to be an active one. Connecticut has largely been spared from major hurricanes in recent years – for that we are thankful – but residents should always be prepared.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation was awarded a grant from the Federal Transit Administration for the purchase of ten battery electric buses and ten DC fast chargers.
