Pursuant to our state constitution, during the "short session" in the even-numbered years, the General Assembly is only in session from February to early May, and our scope is limited in terms of the volume and the subject matter of legislation. However, there are still many important issues to address and I'd like to know your views on the most pressing issues facing our state.

CHFA Launches Loan Program to Provide Additional Assistance to Homeowners with Crumbling Foundations
November 4, 2019The Connecticut Housing Finance Authority (CHFA) has officially launched the Supplemental Collapsing Foundation Loan Program. This new loan program will provide help to homeowners with the associated costs of replacing their pyrrhotite-damaged foundations.

I attended lots of great events in Manchester and Glastonbury this past weekend, from “Barktober”, hosted by the great Manchester Dog Owners Group CT (MDOG) to “Empty Bowls” hosted by Foodshare and Manchester Community College, and of course the famous Glastonbury Apple Harvest & Music Festival where I had some fun volunteering on Saturday night.
