If you're like me, you saw an unwelcome rise to your electricity bill this month, I share your anger and frustration. That's especially true because I have fought constantly to rein in rate increases and impose accountability and transparency on Eversource and other public utilities.

I am proud of what my colleagues and I have achieved in our recent legislative sessions. We increased funding for higher and early-childhood education, mental health, and nonprofits while preserving historic tax cuts.

I continue to work tirelessly to deliver vital funding to Stamford to support our children, families, and neighborhoods.

Several new laws that address many issues aimed at improving our great state will become effective on July 1st.
