August 23, 2022Anyone who has traveled between Newtown and Bethel along Route 302/Sugar Street has driven through the sharp curve near Hattertown and Dodgingtown Road. With a recent uptick in accidents, I worked with the Persaud family and State Department of Transportation to install chevron signs along the curve in concert with road paving.
2022 Laws Making CT More Affordable for Seniors
August 17, 2022During the 2022 legislative session, I was proud to support policy initiatives that seek to make our state more affordable for seniors. We not only passed a state budget adjustment bill that cuts state income taxes for retirees and funds important programs for seniors, we passed legislation that makes Connecticut a better place for seniors to live.

Danbury Career Academy Referendum Passes
June 15, 2022The new Career Academy will be built using $164 million to renovate the old Cartus building off Kenosia Avenue. To help alleviate pressure on Danbury's mill rate and our taxpayers, this session, I helped pass legislation that requires the state to reimburse Danbury up to 80 percent of the project’s $164 million cost. This is a great deal for Danbury.
