Rep. Dillon and New Haven Delegation Celebrated for $23 Million Win
May 15, 2026This week, I joined the New Haven delegation for a press conference in which the mayor of New Haven and superintendent of schools celebrated the new funding we delivered to New Haven. Through the budget, which was crafted and developed by my colleagues and I who sit on the Appropriations committee, the City will receive $23 million.
The education funding in particular will have an immediate impact - it will provide New Haven Public Schools with some much needed financial breathing room ahead of the next school year. This allocation is a great start, but more work needs to be done. I promise to push for education reform that will ensure that New Haven schools receive the funds they need to thrive and exceed.
