Dear Neighbor,
Good news! The Edgewood Park MidBridge is now open! The nine-foot-wide structure will provide guests of the park with a path over the water. Improving the quality of our parks is a priority for myself and the other members the New Haven delegation - this is just one example of a plan that came to fruition.
City Hall shared a report with the delegation this week that included a breakdown of the use of the $800,000 that I and the delegation secured for Edgewood Park. In addition to the MidBridge, the funding will be used on the following items:
- Renovation and lighting of the skatepark
- Repaving of the Coogan parking lot
- Repair of the Edgewood Park staircases
- Establish walking trail loop around old soccer field
- Repair sundial splashpad
- Provide electricity to the pavilion
- Drinking fountain near playground
Thank you to Stephanie FitzGerald for sharing this update, as well as your volunteer efforts to improve Edgewood Park.
