It is a pleasure to represent the city of Hartford here at the State Capitol. I have been committed to public service for much of my life and I look forward to continuing to serve now as your State Representative. I was a teacher in the Hartford Public schools for 35 years and I have held numerous leadership roles with national committees on education and civil rights.
I have been appointed Vice Chairman of the General Assembly’s Commerce Committee by Speaker of the House Brendan Sharkey and I am honored to have the opportunity to serve in this leadership position.
I will also be serving on the Children’s and Appropriations Committees and as Vice Chair of the Executive and Legislative Nominations Committee.
I look forward to serving on these committees and to be a voice for the people of Hartford here at the Capitol.
Your input and opinions are what makes our democracy work so well. Now more than ever, I hope you will not hesitate to reach out to me if you have questions or concerns.
