It is a pleasure to represent the city of Hartford here at the State Capitol. I have been committed to public service for much of my life and I look forward to continuing to serve now as your State Representative. I was a teacher in the Hartford Public schools for 35 years and I have held numerous leadership roles with national committees on education and civil rights.
For this session, I have been appointed by Speaker of the House Brendan Sharkey (D-Hamden) to serve on the powerful Appropriations Committee, the Committee on Children and the Commerce Committee. All three of these committees will be taking on tough and pressing issues that will affect our day to day lives in the state. I am proud to serve on these committees and to be a voice for the people of Hartford here at the Capitol.
Your input and opinions are what makes our democracy work so well. Now more than ever I hope you will not hesitate to reach out to me if you have questions or concerns.
