Expect Delays for Special Olympics Torch Run
Drivers should expect delays this afternoon (Friday, May 31) as the Woodbridge Police Department (WPD) carries the Special Olympics torch in town. WPD will receive the Flame of Hope on Ansonia Road at the Ansonia town line around 3:40 P.M. Officers will carry it to Beecher Road and make a left turn down Beecher Road to Center Road around 4:20 P.M. From Center Road, WPD will carry the torch to Amity Road and make their way to the New Haven town line around 4:45 P.M. where they will hand it off to the New Haven Police Department.
WPD kindly asks that drivers be patient and seek alternative routes during this special ceremony as the Flame of Hope passes through town. If you see police on their route, feel free to cheer them on but DO NOT cut between the lead police vehicle and support vehicles in the back even if there is a gap.

Lane Closures on Route 63 in Woodbridge

The project will begin on the evening of Sunday, June 9 through the morning of Thursday, July 25. Crews will not work from Wednesday, July 3 until Sunday, July 7 due to the Fourth of July holiday.

Memorial Day Parade in Orange
The weather was perfect for the Orange Memorial Day Parade and remembrance ceremony! It was humbling to hear from those who have served and reassuring to hear the understanding and gratitude from all others.
Thank you to everyone on the committee who works so hard to make this happen each year, to those who marched, and to everyone who comes out to support the event each year. Our fallen heroes' sacrifice will never be forgotten.
