Please join Alderman Dan King of the First Ward and I if you want to learn more about the $100,000 of federal funding we will be getting for improvements for Gatison Park. We will discuss the funding in the basement of the Abundant Life Church on June 11 at 7 pm. 

I really want to ensure that every resident in this neighborhood has a seat at the table and the ability to give their input on how to improve the park. We’re here to listen, take notes, and work with you.

This will be the first step in what I hope will be a grassroots neighborhood community group formed to help shape this effort. This needs to involve everyone as an authentic team effort for best results to ensure that every penny is spent well.

I reached out to Dan King because he and I have spoken about this park since I met him and share a passion for improving the quality of life on the north end. I encourage other local officials to join and listen to what the public has to say.
