Earlier this week, I traveled down to Baltimore for the Council of State Governments
Eastern Regional Conference's (CSG) annual meeting. This forum is an opportunity for state level politicians to meet and discuss policy issues - over 500 government officials from over the country were in attendance. I had the honor of participating in a housing panel and also met Maryland Governor Wes Moore.
Symptoms of tick-borne diseases found in Connecticut may all include a fever and general muscle aches that can occur within 35 days from the time of the bite.
The Connecticut Office of the Arts (COA) and its Artist Fellowship program is now accepting applications. The Artist Fellowship program provides recognition and funding support for Connecticut artists to pursue new work and advance their artistic careers. All artistic disciplines are eligible!
Connecticut artists must be the primary creators of original works of art.
Grants are awarded in three designations and grant amounts:
• Artistic Excellence grants: $5,000
• Artist Fellowship grants: $3,000
• Emerging Recognition grants: $1,000
The deadline to apply is on or before September 20.

Avelo Airlines recently announced an expansion to Bradley International Airport with seven new direct flights, including nonstop service to Montego Bay, Jamaica and Cancun, Mexico. Both flights will begin in November.
