Dear Neighbor,

On Wednesday, I was sworn in at the State Capitol on the first day of the 2025 legislative session in Hartford. I am honored to serve the people of Norwalk once again, and look forward to working with my colleagues over the next 5 months to craft meaningful legislation that will benefit everyone.

The Office of Legislative Research just released its annual Major Issues Report, which is a summary of issues the General Assembly may address in the upcoming session. Click here to read the document.

Although Connecticut is one of the wealthiest states in the country, homelessness is unfortunately a growing issue. The number of people experiencing homelessness increased 13% last year, and 44% of those people were children and adults over 55.

I was proud to stand with Connecticut Coalition to End Homelessness as they laid out their agenda for the 2025 session. They are asking for an allocation of funds that will be included in the budget annually to prevent homelessness and provide resources to those who  are currently unhoused. Ending homelessness is not an easy task, but it is not impossible to achieve.
