End of the Legislative Session

Dear Neighbor,

On Wednesday, we officially concluded the 2024 legislative session. There were many long, stressful nights, but my colleagues and I were able to pass several pieces of legislation that will benefit our state in the present and in the future. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to serve Norwalk at the Capitol and look forward to the next chapter ahead.

I’m thrilled to share that Norwalk will receive an additional $5 million through the state budget stabilization bill. That’s on top of the already scheduled increase that we adopted in our two year budget last year. Altogether, this is a $6.4 million assist which will help lighten the burden for local property taxpayers and families.
