Dear Neighbor,

Earlier today, the Environment Committee approved three bills I co-sponsored and voted them out of committee. If enacted, these bills will do the following:

• HB 5157 - Gives retailers until July 1, 2027, to participate in the tire stewardship program.
• HB 5155 - Modernizes the technology used to report pesticide use.
• HB 5156- Establishes  a climate change superfund.

We are going backwards with regard to climate change, and the Federal Government is shredding all the progress we had made. We owe an examination of this to the residents of CT and also to the next generation.
