I also wanted to let you know that the City of West Haven is offering energy assistance through the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program, or CEAP. You'll see more details about it below.

*Please note: Absentee Ballots must be received by 8 p.m., before closing on Nov. 4, Election Day. Please mail your ballot early so it's received before polls close on Nov. 4.

Open Enrollment for Access Health CT's (AHCT) health and dental insurance begins Saturday, November 1, 2025, and ends Thursday, January 15, 2026.
Connecticut residents can shop, compare, and enroll in health insurance plans or renew their coverage. AHCT is the only place Connecticut residents can get financial help to pay for their health insurance.
Nearly 90% of AHCT customers enrolled in a Qualified Health Plan (QHP) receive assistance. Some customers might also qualify for the Covered CT Program. This program provides no-cost insurance for eligible residents.
To enroll, please have the following information and documents prepared for you and anyone else in your household, even if they don't need coverage:
Dates of Birth
Social Security Numbers
Visa, green card, or immigration documents
Most recent W2 and/or Form 1040, 1099
Pay-stubs, Profit & Loss Statements or other employment information
Current insurance coverage (policy numbers for any current health insurance plans covering members of your household)

Governor Lamont has issued executive orders to ensure that Connecticut residents have access to COVID-19 vaccines during the upcoming respiratory virus season. For decades, vaccines have been proven to prevent serious illness, hospitalization, and death, and patients and their doctors should be able to decide what is the best course of treatment.
