On September 11, we pause to honor the memory of all the victims and the countless lives forever changed on this day 24 years ago. The attacks left an indelible mark in Bridgeport and the rest of the nation.
Our community will never forget those whose lives were stolen from us, nor the courage of the first responders, construction crews, service members, and everyday citizens who ran toward danger to save others, and who worked tirelessly in the days and years that followed to help our country rebuild. Their bravery and sacrifice remain a testament to the resilience of the American spirit.
