Biography

Jonathan Jacobson represents the 148th District in the Connecticut House of Representatives, which includes portions of Glenbrook, East Side, Downtown, and the Cove in Stamford. A lifelong Stamford resident, Jonathan is committed to strengthening the community where he was raised and now raises his own family.

 

Before joining the General Assembly, Jonathan served on Stamford’s Board of Representatives beginning in 2016, where he helped advance local initiatives focused on transparency, public accountability, and quality of life. His work included supporting Stamford’s plastic bag, plastic straw, and Styrofoam ordinances, along with broader efforts to improve environmental stewardship and community engagement.

 

Jonathan is an attorney, civil litigator, and small business owner. He represents individuals and small businesses throughout Fairfield County, and his experience navigating the legal and operational challenges of running a business informs his approach to policymaking. His background provides a strong foundation in statutory interpretation, problem-solving, and understanding how government decisions affect residents and employers alike.

 

In the General Assembly, Jonathan is focused on practical, community-centered policymaking. He is committed to honesty, accessibility, and public trust in government, and works to ensure that residents of the 148th District have a clear voice in decisions that affect their daily lives.

 

Outside of his legislative and professional work, Jonathan enjoys hiking and spending time with his wife, Lauren, their son, Ezra, and their dog, Chewbacca.
