As Father's Day approaches, I would like to say thank you to all the great dads out there who serve as role models for their children and others in our community!

Delays on Route 15 for Work by Heroes Tunnel
Drivers should expect delays on Route 15 in both directions for road work near the Heroes Tunnel in Woodbridge, Hamden, and New Haven. Some lanes will be closed from 9:00 P.M. on Friday, June 21 to 8:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 22 as crews mill and fill resurface the road.

The backups on the northbound lanes will start at the Woodbridge/New Haven town line to a quarter mile past the Heroes Tunnel. Delays on the southbound side will be from just past Exit 60 (Route 10) to Exit 59 (Route 69/63).

I joined U.S. Representative Rosa DeLauro and members of the Derby delegation to celebrate $1 million in funds for development in the city. The plan is to use the money to buy a scrapyard on Factory Street and to build a road there that will make it easier to connect with the rest of downtown. Thank you to U.S. Rep. Rosa DeLauro for securing this federal funding for Derby!

Historic Home Receives Critical Funding

I was thrilled to attend a special ceremony as a historical gem in Woodbridge received much-needed funding. Preservation Connecticut awarded the Amity and Woodbridge Historical Society $9,000 to repair one of the original chimneys of the Thomas Darling House on the Litchfield Turnpike. Construction on the colonial cape started in 1772 and was completed two years later.
Thank you to Preservation Connecticut for your generous gift and allowing us to preserve our history in the 114th district! You can learn more about the Darling House by clicking here.

Overnight Parking Banned at City Parks in Derby
The city of Derby will have a ban on overnight parking at city parks starting on Sunday, June 16. The ordinance states that no vehicle or trailer is allowed on the grounds of any city park from 11 P.M. to 6 A.M. CLICK HERE for more details.
