It is an honor and a privilege to advocate and support Stamford. I'll dig deeper into how these grants will support children, individuals, and families.

Please join me in celebrating Pride Month each and every day. Our city is hosting a wide range of events empowering the LGBTQ+ community through the month of June. Keep scrolling to get a breakdown of all the fun gatherings!

Millions in State Funds Secured for Stamford!
As your State Representative, I have worked tirelessly to bring vital funding to Stamford to support our children, families, and neighborhoods. I helped secure millions for our students and schools, ensuring they have access to the resources and opportunities necessary for a high quality education.
Nearly $20 million will go toward Education Cost Sharing for Fiscal Year 2025. Another $97 million will support school construction projects at South School and Davenport Elementary School. This funding will lead to the improvement of school facilities and the provision of essential supplies and technology to our classrooms.
Additionally, I have advocated for and obtained substantial financial support for vital organizations that serve our community. As you can see below, Stamford secured $3.4 million in American Rescue Plan Act funding, which will support countless organizations including Stamford Municipal Aid, Ferguson Library, Silversource, and Homefront. The list also includes Building One Community, which aims to advance the successful integration of immigrants and their families.

I also delivered more than $640,000 in youth services prevention grants. Mill River Collaborative will continue to be dedicated to creating and sustaining a world-class park in the heart of downtown Stamford. Project Music will improve upon its immersive music education and performance opportunities for children.

By directing funds to these organizations, we are able to address the diverse needs of our residents, fostering a stronger, more resilient community.

Happy Pride Month! 🏳️‍🏳️‍⚧️

Let's kick off June by celebrating love, diversity, and the incredible contributions of the LGBTQ+ community.

There will be many events celebrating Pride across the city. Please take a look at the schedule below and CLICK HERE to learn more about each gathering.

Pride Month commemorates years of struggle for civil rights and the ongoing pursuit of equal justice under the law for the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as their accomplishments. It is celebrated each year in the month of June to honor the 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan.

Love one another. Protect one another. Speak up for your rights. And have a wonderful and safe Pride month.
