Ridgefield Schools Get Funding for Air Filtration System Upgrades
April 6, 2023I’m proud to announce that Ridgefield Public Schools will be receiving $13,481.57 for upgrades to its air filtration system. It’s part of a larger $56 million statewide investment to improve heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for public schools.
The grants are being awarded through the HVAC Indoor Air Quality Grants Program for Public Schools, a newly established state program that is administered by the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services.
Here is a list of the schools that will be receiving state grant funding:
- Barlow Mountain Elementary School: $6,693.88
- Farmingville Elementary School: $1,844.59
- Branchville Elementary School: $1,586.50
- Ridgebury Elementary School: $1,537.71
- East Ridgefield Middle School: $903.20
- Ridgefield High School: $632.85
- Veterans Park Elementary School: $282.84
These funds do not cover the entire cost of the project, but the money will help make the air filtration system upgrades a reality.
