Putnam DMV Office to Open

In case you missed it, the Department of Motor Vehicles office in Putnam is expected to open within the next 90 days. The facility has been closed for about 2 years due to the pandemic. 

The new location at 62 Providence Pike (Route 44) in the Stop & Shop/Dollar Tree shopping plaza will be open on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays by appointment only. Residents will no longer need to drive nearly an hour to take care of the DMV business. 

I am thankful to the governor and and state Department of Motor Vehicles Deputy Commissioner Tony Guerrera for recognizing the need in our region and working with state legislators to make this happen.
