Connecticut is currently in phase 1a of its COVID-19 vaccination program, during which the vaccine is available for healthcare personnel, residents and staff of long-term care facilities (such as nursing homes and assisted living facilities), and medical first responders.
Yesterday, Governor Lamont announced that phase 1b will begin on Monday, January 18. Residents in the state who are over the age of 75 can now begin scheduling appointments to receive the vaccine. In the coming weeks, other populations included in phase 1b will be able to make appointments, including those between the ages of 65 and 74, those between the ages of 16 and 64 who have underlying health conditions, residents and staff of congregate settings, and frontline essential workers.
