Last week, State Representative Ron Napoli Jr. (D-Waterbury) attended a Vietnam-Era Veteran Recognition Ceremony at Kennedy High School. Over 150 Waterbury-based Vietnam and Vietnam-era veterans were honored for their service and joined by local elected leaders, family and friends at the event hosted by Lieutenant Governor Susan Byseiwicz and Mayor Neil O’Leary.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the sacrifices that these service men and women have made to defend our country,” says Rep. Napoli Jr. “And I’m grateful to have been a part of this powerful ceremony.”

According to the U.S. Dept. of Veterans Affairs, close to 185,000 veterans live in Connecticut.
