SBA - Paycheck Protection Program Resumed

April 29, 2020

As you may be aware, the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) for small businesses resumed this week. The SBA is accepting PPP loan applications from approved lenders on behalf of any eligible borrower.

Also, If you are a small business owner or if you run a non-profit, please take a moment to complete this City of New Haven Economic Development survey . The survey results will help inform and drive the city's ongoing efforts to help small businesses.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Jovita Carranza and U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven T. Mnuchin announced the SBA will resume accepting PPP loan applications from approved lenders on behalf of any eligible borrower. This will ensure that SBA has properly coded the system to account for changes made by the legislation.

All approved lenders are asked to process loan applications previously submitted by eligible borrowers and disburse funds expeditiously. All eligible borrowers who need these funds should work with an approved lender to apply. Borrowers should carefully review PPP regulations and guidance and the certifications required to obtain a loan.
