Join Me at an Environmental Forum on Monday

February 2, 2024

You are invited to come and learn more about the environment as our state transitions to alternative forms of energy. Rep. Gregg Haddad and I are co-hosting a panel on Monday, February 5 at 5:30 P.M. at Eastern Connecticut State University. The discussion will be held in the J. Eugene Smith Library inside the Johnson Room. We encourage everyone who plans on attending to ask questions.

One of the speakers will be James Albis, who is an expert on electric vehicles, recycling, and trash disposal methods in our state. Albis is a senior policy advisor for House Democrats and recently served as a the DEEP Director of Policy and Planning for Materials Management.

Albis recently joined my radio show "Let's Talk About It" to discuss the steps Connecticut can take to protect our environment including:

  • the transition to electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cells
  • improving our trash disposal methods
  • the state's efforts to convert food scraps into compost & renewable energy
