Happy 4th of July! As you prepare to celebrate the holiday, I wanted to remind you of the importance of safe driving. Holiday traffic can be stressful, especially if you are traveling to an unfamiliar area.
Motor vehicle accidents, particularly wrong-way crashes, have unfortunately become a more frequent occurrence. This issue is important to me - my dear friend Melvin Wells was killed in a wrong way accident in 2019. During the 2023 session, I introduced legislation that was signed into law that will help prevent and reduce wrong-way accidents.
While on the road, make sure you do your part to keep everyone on the road safe.
