Dear Neighbor,

Thanksgiving is this Thursday. I wish to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude. In this season of reflection, I am especially thankful for the unique gift of friends like you, the joy of shared moments and the support that surrounds us.

I also want to express caution to all of those who will be traveling on the road to visit loved ones. Holiday traffic can be stressful, especially if you are traveling to an unfamiliar area.

Motor vehicle accidents, particularly wrong-way crashes, have unfortunately become a more frequent occurrence. This issue is important to me -  my dear friend Melvin Wells was killed in a wrong way accident in 2019. During the 2023 session, I introduced legislation that was signed into law that will help prevent and reduce wrong-way accidents.

While on the road, make sure you do your part to keep everyone on the road safe. May your Thanksgiving be filled with the love of family and the company of good friends as we all cherish these moments of togetherness and celebrate the blessings that make life truly special.
