| Wrong-way crashes have unfortunately become a more frequent occurrence. These accidents have impacted individuals throughout the state, myself included. My friend Melvin Wells was killed in a wrong way accident in 2019.
To address this growing concern, I introduced Public Act 23-51, a bill that would help prevent and reduce wrong-way accidents. The wrong way detection systems are just one part of a significant effort to help keep drivers safe. I am proud of the progress we have made and am excited that more wrong way detection systems are being installed statewide. |
