Earlier this year, Avelo Airlines announced an expansion to Bradley International Airport with seven, new direct flights, including nonstop service to Montego Bay, Jamaica. 

To honor the inaugural flight, Avelo Airlines will hold a free community reception tonight at the West Indian Social Club of Hartford. 

Her Excellency the Honorable Audrey Marks (OJ), Jamaica's Ambassador to the United States, Lt. Governor Susan Bysiewicz, Hartford Mayor Arunan Arulampalam, and Giselle Cortes, Avelo's Head of Airports, and I will be in attendance.

Andrew Lawrence of the Caribbean Trade Council and I advocated for this service, and it is affirming to see our hard work come to fruition.
