Today, the State Bond Commission met for its last meeting of 2025. Among the projects approved, Ellington will be receiving a share of $4.8 million to support long-term, post-closure care related to the former CT Resources Recovery Authority (CRRA) landfills, including the landfill in town. Activities include continued capital investment necessary to keep the infrastructure of these landfills - which are also located in Hartford, Waterbury, Wallingford, and Shelton - in safe condition and to protect public health and the environment.
