Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Summer is right around the corner, and I hope you and your family are enjoying the warmer weather and brighter times.

Further in this message my staff and I have highlighted resources we have brought to the community, events I have attended, and more that I hope will be of use to you and your family.

Street co-naming ceremony honors
Judge Hubert T. Delany
Earlier last month, my family and I were honored with naming a street after my great-grandfather, Judge Hubert Delany. I spent the day with my family, friends, and mentors as we reflected on the nature of monuments and Judge Delany's legacy.
I believe that when we name our monuments, public spaces, and streets, we are sending a message about the values we choose to espouse when we remember the legacy of those we choose to honor.
My great grandfather's legacy has been a guide for my life and my service. And when I think of how others will look at his legacy. I hope they will see it as call to strength, conviction, kindness as I do.
Be sure to click the link below to delve into Judge Hubert T. Delany’s remarkable legacy and witness the heartwarming support from our community and my family.

Intempo: Youth Music Organization
Opens in New Location!
I'm excited to share the fantastic news that we've secured $75,000 in state funding for the organization INTEMPO! This coincides with the exciting opening of their new headquarters on Franklin Street in downtown Stamford. As your State Representative, enhancing our community through the arts and education is paramount. INTEMPO's mission perfectly aligns with those values.
The new 4,500-square-foot headquarters is a space filled with the sound of music, offering specialized rooms for tutoring, early childhood education, piano instruction, and audio production, as well as versatile areas for classes and private lessons.
This funding is an investment in our future leaders. It will enable INTEMPO to expand its programming and create educational opportunities for children without access to such resources. Alongside my colleague State Representative Figueroa, we are immensely proud to have played a role in securing these funds.
Together, we are making a tangible difference in our children's lives and enriching our city's cultural fabric. INTEMPO will now be located alongside seven other nonprofits at the headquarters of Inspirica, an organization dedicated to combating homelessness.

Relief for Indeed Layoffs
Upon learning the distressing news of Indeed's decision to lay off approximately 1,000 employees globally, I contacted the State Department of Labor to help connect those losing their jobs with their entitled unemployment benefits. My colleague Rep. David Michel and I promptly engaged with Indeed's senior leadership to understand the potential impact on our local community.
We are working to ensure that the affected individuals receive the necessary support during this transition. We remain hopeful that Indeed will prioritize efforts to assist former employees in finding new job opportunities, upholding its commitment to its workforce. Click the link below to read more.

Stamford Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony

I am proud to count myself among the brothers and sisters in uniform who participated in this year’s Stamford Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony.
We honored those who did not make it home so we can continue to enjoy our everyday freedoms. Walking alongside my respected colleagues, I was struck by the overwhelming support from our community.
