Investments For Norwalk Schools

May 24, 2024

I am welcoming state investments in Norwalk Public Schools to helpย make necessary upgrades to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. These enhancements not only promote better air quality but also support the well-being and academic success of students and staff.ย Work is expected to be underway and completed over the next few years.

๐Ÿšจย $21.5 million state grant coming to Norwalk Public Schools for air conditioning & clean air๐Ÿšจ
๐Ÿ“šBrien McMahon High School
๐Ÿ“šBrookside Elementary School
๐Ÿ“šMarvin Elementary School
๐Ÿ“šNaramake Elementary School
๐Ÿ“šRowayton Elementary School
๐Ÿ“šSilvermine Dual Language Magnet School

The city is able to make these investments and also save millions of dollars, thanks to the new 60% state reimbursement we put into law. This is all a part of our vision for new school construction and reconstruction of our existing school infrastructure over the next two decades.
