Teacher Appreciation Day!
Governor Lamont just announced that Classes at K-12 Public Schools are cancelled for the rest of the school year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
I know how difficult this period of remote learning and social distancing has been on students, teachers, parents and everyone involved in this process.
Unfortunately, the in-person promotions and graduation festivities celebrating successes and academic achievements with family and classmates will be absent this year.
But amidst all the challenges, I would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all the teachers and teaching staff who have gone above and beyond their usual duties to ensure our students don’t fall behind through this challenging time.
Their invaluable work, dedication, commitment and love for their profession is admirable and today, more than ever, we recognize them as Heroes!
Please take a moment to reach out to your child's teacher, or someone you know who's a teacher, and give him or her a well-deserved "Thank You."
