In order to alleviate any financial burden caused by the COVID-19 outbreak, the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services (DRS) announced that the filing deadline for some annual tax returns will be extended, effective immediately.

It also includes the latest figures on testing for the virus and the locations where patients have turned up positive. And the Centers for Disease Control has a wealth of information about the virus on its website.

Disconnect Suspensions. For electric, gas, and water companies not municipally owned, disconnecting service will not happen during the Governor’s state of emergency.​

I wanted to update you on the measures Connecticut is taking regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) and discuss what you can do to keep your homes and workplace as illness-free as possible.

Although the coronavirus impact on Connecticut has been minimal to date, Governor Lamont and the state are actively working on our preparedness for any eventuality.

ECAD joined me in Hartford to host the documentary film “To Be of Service”. The film provided us an up close look into the long term impact of the horrors of war on our veterans and the role that service dogs can play in helping them recover their lives. Very powerful stuff.
