Dear Neighbor,
I was thrilled to see over $25 million approved for New Haven at today's State Bonding Commission meeting.

With a dozen projects funded and millions coming to New Haven for our schools, nonprofits, the arts,  and more, the residents of our city are primed for success.

You can read more about the funding here.

Two great bills were signed into law this week: HB 5001, which supports seniors with access to resources that will provide them with the best quality of life possible, and HB 5002, which makes child care and early childhood education more affordable and accessible.

A top priority of the General Assembly is providing the best quality of life for Connecticut residents, and these bills do just that.

ATTN EBT Recipients!

As you are likely aware, this EBT skimming scam is a nationwide issue. It is also a technology-driven crime committed, at times, by organized rings in which the criminals steal Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card information by installing electronic devices on ATMs or store point-of-sale (POS) terminals to capture card information, which is commonly referred to as skimming.

Connecticut, through DSS, was one of the first states in the nation to implement a replacement benefit plan, having done so in June 2023. Here are some tips for recipients to keep your benefits safe.

Exciting news! 🥾🗺️⛰️

Unsecured loads are dangerous, illegal, expensive, and preventable. As we take more beach and camping trips, keep these steps in mind!

Sincerely,
