My colleagues and I are ready to take on several issues during the upcoming session. If you want to follow our progress, or if you want to get involved, there are several ways to do so:
- The Office of Legislative Research (OLR) provides nonpartisan and unbiased research to members of the General Assembly and their staff. Part of their duties include writing bill analyses, which are summaries of bills in plain language. Click here to check out their website.
- You can view the Connecticut General Assembly's upcoming events by checking out its schedule on the CGA official website.
- Follow CT-N for live coverage of committee meetings and House and Senate floor debates.
- You can register to monitor any bill's journey through the legislative process. You can enter the bill number and receive real-time updates by signing up. Stay informed with email notifications whenever there's a change in the bill's progress.
- Visit this website for information on how to testify on a bill at a public hearing.
Together, we can ensure all voices are heard. |

I would like to thank CT House Dems leadership for bestowing this honor upon me, one I do not take lightly. I look forward to taking very important issues head-on with Environment Committee Chair, John-Michael Parker. |

Conservation ConneCTion and CT Humanities have partnered to offer the America 250 | CT Museum Makeover, a grant program designed to help cultural organizations tell new and unique stories about the American Revolution and how the themes of the America 250 | CT Commission reverberate through our nation’s history.
|
|
Fundable projects include exhibitions; orientation galleries; interpretive spaces, such as period rooms in historic house museums; and accessibility improvements, such as creating bilingual content and developing new tools for improved visual, auditory, and physical access that meet ADA guidelines. Projects must support at least one of the America 250 | CT themes. The Commission has created a Planning Guide that assists in developing new and unique projects.
Successful applicants will receive:
- two free site visits from a curatorial project manager who will work with the institution’s paid and unpaid staff throughout the grant period to implement the project
- up to $5,600 to help cover the costs of upgrading or creating exhibition and interpretive areas, including costs such as curatorial consultants, graphic designers, exhibit designers, exhibit fabrication and production, and exhibit installation
