The Bipartisan Women's Caucus 2019 Legislative Session Kick-Off

January 15, 2019

Today, the Bipartisan Women's Caucus met for our first organizational meeting of the 2019 Legislative Session. During the meeting, I was pleased to be named co-chair of the caucus, representing the Democratic side. I look forward to continuing the bipartisan nature of this caucus as I work alongside Rep. Rebimbas, who will co-chair the caucus representing the Republican side.

I’m incredibly thrilled and proud to be representing the women leaders and this caucus which is now the largest and most influential caucus at the Capitol. Women’s issues are all encompassing; they are not strictly issues that involve women. They involve men, children, and every aspect of our day to day lives. We had great successes during the last legislative session and I look forward to growing those accomplishments as we enter the 2019 legislative session. We are 61 women strong and I’m so delighted to watch this caucus flourish.

As we move forward as a caucus and begin to consider the bills we will support, I look for your input. Please remember that you don't have to be a women to support women's issues or offer your input. If you'd like to learn more or offer your thoughts, you can contact my office at (860) 240-8585.
