I recently joined Mark Sudol on News 12's "Power and Politics" to discuss a range of critical issues affecting Connecticut families and communities across the state.
We discussed the alarming illegal deployment of U.S. Marines on domestic soil, and what it means from my perspective as a former Marine Infantry Officer, lawyer, and legislator. I talked about our battle to bring down our outrageously high electric rates and the need for long-term, forward-thinking policies that would bring more energy into the state and give our regulators the resources and backbone to stand up to the utilities for the people of our state.
We touched on our accomplishments this session, including one major one: legislation to make child care more accessible and affordable. Child care is currently far too expensive and inaccessible. No parent should have to choose between earning a paycheck and ensuring safe, high-quality care for their child.
