November 3, 2023The Housing Advisory Panel voted on Friday to approve one-time grant funding awards as part of the Interest on Real Estate Brokers Trust Account (IOREBTA) Program. Three organizations that service our community, Homes with Hope, Open Doors, and Star Inc. all received grant money.

October 26, 2023Great news! Norwalk was one of the 46 school districts in Connecticut that will receive state funding to build and expand high dosage tutoring for our students. Norwalk Public Schools has been allocated $278,200 for their program.

The State Bond Commission, which met last Friday, allocated $2,427,204 to the Westport Country Playhouse, and funding for several projects in Norwalk. October 4, 2023The Connecticut State Department of Education is awarding $3.8 million to 83 applicants representing 89 school districts to expand dual credit offerings in high schools, including $76,420 for Westport and $90,000 for Norwalk. The primary objective of the state’s Dual Credit Expansion Grant Program is to enable more high school students to earn college credits prior to graduation through partnerships formed between high schools and public and private colleges and universities.
