Scam Alert!

January 28, 2020

They said my colleague had 32 minutes left before electric power would be cut. He offered to pay in person and the caller immediately hung up.

He then called Eversource and they advised that many people have been affected by this fraud.

Please double check before you turn over personal data and, in all cases, hang up and call the number on your bill.

Below is what the message said, and they perfectly mimicked the Eversource call back number message!

“Good day welcome to Eversource this is an automated call to inform you that your account reflects a disconnection order taking place today due to nonpayment history. Press two to be transferred to our billing department ___ please contact us at 203-947-5235 to avoid the disconnection sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause and thank you for choosing ever source…”
