Rep. Porter Named Chair of Labor and Public Employees Committee

Rep. Porter has been appointed Chair of the Labor and Public Employees Committee for the 2017-2019 term by Democratic leaders, Speaker of the House Joe Aresimowicz (D-30) and Majority Leader Matthew Ritter (D-1.)

The Labor and Public Employees Committee addresses matters relating to workers' compensation, unemployment compensation, conditions of employment, hours of labor, minimum wages, industrial safety, occupational health and safety, labor unions and labor disputes; all matters relating to the Department of Labor.
