Great Leadership Opportunity For Youths

March 13, 2019

I’m always encouraging young people to get involved and make a difference in our communities. And now there’s a great opportunity to do just that.

The Obama Foundation is accepting applications for its Community Leadership Corps program, which is designed to build for the future by engaging young people in community service and leadership.

Partly because of its sizeable youth population, the Hartford area has been selected by the foundation for outreach to our youths and I couldn’t be happier.

Under the program, 100 young people between the ages of 18 and 25 will be selected for a six-month training program to work on leadership skills, project management, design thinking and community organizing. They also will receive in-person training and online coaching.

Applications are being accepted until March 24 and I really hope you’ll encourage our youths to apply. Click here for details on applying.

The Obama Foundation is a non-partisan organization and does not endorse or affiliate with elected officials.

And as always, if you want to contact me at the Capitol, just call 1-800-842-8267 or email me at Brandon.McGee@cga.ct.gov. Finally, I hope you’ll check out and my Official Facebook Page for news and legislative updates.
